Jupiterian Energy: Everything is All Right
Seeing the bigger picture. Perfection in imperfections. Trusting that everything is all right, right now.
Welcome to this week’s post on Jupiter. This is an edited version of a previous post, so if you’re coming back to it for the second time you’ll notice some major changes. In this write up, we’ll explore the qualities of Jupiter and the ways that you can bring more Jupiterian-energies into your life like joy, trust and inspiration.
*****************************
Jupiter is one of my favorite planets. Not just because it can be so luminous in a dark sky, but mostly because of its archetypal energy that is in you and me, and in everything around us. Its vibrations are embedded in All Life.
Like all of the planetary archetypes, Jupiter is one of the building blocks of who we are, how we behave, and how we progress through time.
Please note that it’s worth saying… anytime I talk about the planets in astrology, I’m rarely talking about the spheres in sky. The planetary energies are both inside of us and outside of us. They’re archetypal energies that, while they have relation to the physical planets (and transits definitely create new situations for us) they’re really about what make us up and how we express ourselves.
Jupiter
Here are some of the basic qualities of Jupiter… an ancient expression of you:
Optimism
Grace
Blessings
Generosity
Prosperity & Wealth
Inspiration
Trust & Faith
Expansion
Purpose
Enthusiasm
Philosophy
Spirituality
Sattva
Happiness
Inner Knowing
Wisdom
Understanding
Guru & Teacher
Honor
Children
Creativity
Joy
Peace
Capacity to move forward
Forgiveness
This is what Jupiter means for each one of us. How we work with these qualities is based on our birth chart and our own free will to move with these energies as we evolve throughout our lives.
When Jupiterian energies are supported in your life, you tend to get good counsel. You may also be able to give good counsel. This is because Jupiter is all about seeing the bigger picture. This part of you isn’t as interested in the minute details: this is the part of you that knows the whole blueprint and understands how you fit into the Grand Orchestration.
Jupiter-ness helps you feel like you know your place and that you belong. Because this archetype is meant to bring a sense of purpose, when you intentionally call up this energy, your purpose readily presents itself. Even if you don’t see any meaning in anything you’re doing, just make it up and lean into it.
Sometimes it’s easy to feel like there isn’t meaning in something. Sometimes we just have to create a purpose out of thin air in order to have one. That’s valid.
If for some reason you’re one of those people who has a hard time finding any purpose in what you’re doing, I’m here to be your cheerleader and say, “You can do it! Even if you feel like things are pointless, they’re actually not. Now go get ‘em, tiger!”

Out There, In Here
If you feel like you naturally already have a lot of the qualities listed up above, Jupiter’s placement in the Solar System and its relativity Earth was probably good at your birth. Your blueprint already has a great capacity to be optimistic, to move forward without too many setbacks, to feel abundant and wealthy and creative. It may easier to see the bigger picture and know your place in it. And that’s beautiful.
For some of us, there’s more of an uphill battle around feeling optimistic, prosperous and like there’s grace flowing through. But here’s the gift: when we get conscious about the Jupiter-energy and how to activate it within ourselves in a positive way, we’re solid.
Part of the poetry of Jupiter-vibes is that by creating habits around them, you’ll simply become a happier person. Things will probably start going your way a little more often, or you’ll change your mindset and “your” way will change to better fit the circumstance—perhaps for the benefit of everyone else, too. Or better yet, you’ll see the blessing of a situation even if it’s something you would have rather avoided.
Seeing the bigger picture with Jupiter-energy gets us out of our small-mindedness and opened up to an entire expansion of possibilities and opportunities. What might look like a real setback in the short run may have been your greatest gift. It was just a matter of stepping back and giving it the right perspective, and seeing the perfection of its imperfection. Rather than getting tied up in knots over something, you’re trusting the grander scheme of the situation.
Being Jupiterian
Here are some suggestions for strengthening the spirit of Jupiter in your life. First the Vedic approach:
Meditation
Wearing rudraksha beads or a gemstone specific to your path
Giving to charity
Praying and trusting it’s working
Chanting Ganesha mantras
Additional Jupiterian Enhancers:
Playing outdoor sports
Attending sound healings
Leaning into abundance over scarcity
Listening instead of talking
Creating a purpose
Using positive affirmations for Jupiterian things. For example: “I am wise and generous.” Or, “I am inspired and have purpose.” Or, “I belong.”
While Moon- and Venus-energies are definitely about soothing and comforting, keep in mind that Jupiter-luminosity brings comfort in the fact that it brings a higher perspective, a sense of place and belonging, and a deeper understanding that everything is playing out as it should be so that we can continue to learn and grow. This energy in each of us allows us to forgive one another, and mostly ourselves. To me, that’s comforting and takes the pressure off too.
Everything is all right.

I’ll end this writing with a poem that my beloved wrote years ago. It’s in his book called Your Abundance, Now!
May you breathe freely and happily!
Let your next breath
be the best one ever!
May you breathe energy and enthusiasm
into your body with each breath!
Let yourself breathe in new life and abun-
dance for the rest of your life!
******************
Remember: by simply breathing you are worthy of being here. Nothing else is required of you. Nothing needs to be proven. Trust in your expansiveness.
Thank you for reading and for exploring your innate Jupiter-ness!
Blessings to you all.
